Joe Bidenwith ‘ interview with NBC Nightly News hosted by Lester Holt is still ongoing, but will now take place at the White House on Monday, according to a network source.
The interview was supposed to take place in Texas, but Biden’s trip there was canceled after the assassination attempt on Donald Trumpthe president’s rival in the 2024 presidential race.

NBC News announced the interview last week, and it is scheduled to air in prime time on Monday night, which is also the first day Republican National Convention. The network is still planning that schedule, with segments on NBC Nightly News earlier in the evening.

The interview was to be the last one-on-one for Biden amid calls to drop out of the presidential race. He did recently sitting down with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos and the call in it Morning Joe. Biden makes additional remarks this afternoon about the assassination attempt on Trump.
