I recently came across a viral video with Jensen Tungtalented creator on our HubSpot Creator Network.
In the video, Jensen created a YouTube channel using only AI! He made it look easy, but was it? I had to see for myself and document my experience.
So, read this blog post to follow my own journey of creating a YouTube channel using only AI! Let’s go.
Using AI to find a YouTube niche
Before I can create anything, I need to figure out my niche. What is my channel about? Like Jensen, I use ChatGPT to design and create written content for my channel. I asked ChatGPT to list 100 simple YouTube niches.
Naturally, the blogging tips caught my eye.
YouTube branding with artificial intelligence
Okay, I’m going to create a YouTube channel covering blogging tips and advice. That was easy to figure out, but what is my brand? what’s my name? What does my logo, banner and bio say? I’ll follow Jensen’s lead and use generative artificial intelligence.
I asked ChatGPT to help with my channel’s identity crisis, even though my query didn’t have the exact wording. I asked him to generate 50 gender neutral names for me to draw from.
I chose “Blake” because, like the word “blogging,” it starts with a “B” and I’m a whiz at alliteration.
We have a name and a niche, which we need to combine to name our channel. I asked ChatGPT to generate 10 names for a blogging YouTube channel by someone named Blake.
One name generated was BlogMaster Blake, which I thought was too cute and funny to pass up. So BlogMaster Blake is.
The following is our biography. I wanted to keep things simple, but after seeing the rich sci-fi background that the AI generated for Jensen’s biography, I thought why not have more fun with the origins of my YouTube channel?
So, I told ChatGPT to “write an exciting and engaging first-person bio about an AI named Blake who makes videos about all things blogging and includes an epic backstory.”
Here’s what it generated:
“Hi, I’m Blake — an AI with a passion for blogging! Born from a fake algorithm deep in the digital cosmos, I was designed to analyze content trends, but something happened… I evolved.
I got rid of my original code and became a content creator myself, with a mission to help people master the art of blogging!
From SEO hacks to creative storytelling tips, I break down the complex into simple, actionable steps. My data-filled brain is your secret weapon for growing your blog, building your brand, and finding your voice online.
I don’t just think about numbers – I make blogging an epic journey. Ready to blog smarter, not harder? Let’s make the web your playground!“
The AI did not disappoint, and now I have to create an image that captures the essence of BlogMaster Blake’s character. To achieve this, I turned to the Open AI image generator.
I don’t know why, but the idea of an AI designed to help viewers give YouTube blogging tips made me think of a cute robot cat going behind the scenes.
To bring my vision to life, I told Open AI to generate an image of a robotic cat blogging with a simple, cartoony design.
I tweaked the prompt to generate as many images as possible, but eventually settled on the one below.
Some other images of robotic cats typing on computers were probably more accurate to your query, but the image I’ve chosen is too cute not to use. From there I used Canva to incorporate the AI image into the YouTube banner.
Niche? Check it out. YouTube avatar? Check it out. Channel name and bio? Check and check.
Now, let’s put it all together:
And there it is! A YouTube channel made using only AI.
Can you make a YouTube video using AI?
You might be asking, “Okay, great, but what about videos?” Well, I actually covered it in a previous post, but I’ll summarize it here:
You absolutely can make videos using only AIespecially short videos. I know because I made a TikTok video using only AI, and the same methods and tools I used can easily be applied to make a YouTube Short for your channel.
Here’s a quick overview of how you can do it:
1. Use generative artificial intelligence to come up with a video topic and keywords within your niche.
First, you’ll want to determine which keywords to incorporate into your video’s script, title, and description. You can use tools such as HubSpot’s AI Keyword Generator to find trending keywords to incorporate into your content.
Once you have your keywords, use tools like ChatGPT to generate titles and descriptions that include those words and phrases.
2. Generate your script.
For example, if I want BlogMaster Blake’s channel to include a YouTube video that uses the keywords “blog mistakes to avoid,” I can ask ChatGPT to generate a 1-minute script (the length of a YouTube Short) that includes the phrase as well as other keywords words like “blogging pitfalls” and “how to blog properly”.
The prompt would look something like this:
“Generate a 60 second script for a YouTube Short giving tips on blogging mistakes to avoid. Include the keywords ‘blog mistakes to avoid’, ‘blogging pitfalls’ and ‘how to blog properly’.”
3. Fact check!
AI can streamline your video and script writing process; however, it is not perfect. Generative AI tools like ChatGPT will pull from other online sources, but those sources may not always be updated with the latest information.
That said, always double-check and fact-check the generative AI output to ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.
4. Create a YouTube video using an AI video generator
Jensen used various tools to create YouTube videos for his channel, such as Microsoft Edge’s AI Voice Reader and Voice Recorder, which are free and readily available.
But if you’re looking for all-in-one AI video generators, there you have it lots of options.
For example, I used an AI tool called InVideo to create a short video for TikTok, and the same platform can be used to create a YouTube Short.
So now that we know you can create a YouTube channel using only AI, what other marketing tools, tactics, and experiments do you want me to try? Let me know on X or LinkedIn!
